Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth wins his opening match in the men’s singles group with a straight sets win over Lino Munoz of Mexico. Srikanth is the only badminton player from India in the men’s singles category and competing in his first Olympics. He eventually bagged the set and match 21-17. Srikanth's next opponent in his group is Sweden's Henri Hurskainen, whom he will face on August 14.
